Canon VS Nikon VS Sony

Look , if you are buying DSLR/Mirror-less for the first time, you should go with a cheap camera & a cheap lens (Maybe under 700$/ Rs. 45k).So the main question here is "Which camera should I buy?" So first we have to decide which Company should you prefer for camera? Canon/Sony/Nikon (We wont discuss Fuji-film , Leica , Pentax , Panasonic , Samsung here, just because they are not as suitable for beginners as those company) . So lets start our SORTING PROCESS.

THINGS YOU HAVE TO LOOK FIRST

1. Availability in your surroundings 

Check what camera-company , others are using in your locality/family/relative-community. If they use Nikon , then you dont have to buy buy every lens you want to try out. If you buy d5300 with 18-55kit and your neighbor is using d7100 with 50mm f/1.8G , you can easily use or try 50mm 1.8G it out for free when you need it.(ProTip- Be sure to treat them)  

But if you buy 700d with 18-55 kit , you have to get new lens everytime and that will cause a lot more sweat. 

2. Dont just look for camera , lens is the most important thing 

The truth is Sony Cameras are expensive ( They also worth the price ) but you can afford Canon and Nikon more easily. The lens-pricing on the Sony lineup is also slightly higher. So in order to lens availability Canon & Nikon rocks here. Canon is also slightly better in Lens-Selection (Canon 40mm f/2.8-macro is half of the price which Nikon offers. And other lenses are also slightly cheaper). Remember , look for the lens-camera combo instead of only the camera . ( EX- d3300 with perform better with 50mm 1.4 than d5500 with 18-55 ) 

3. Colour Science 

Long story short Sony & Canon have better colour science than Nikon , although it doesn't matter that much for a beginner but it will give you a slightly colour-boost in the picture.Even RAW editing cant match the colour produced by Sony & Canon. In comparison between Sony and Canon , Canon will give you a better skin-tone where Sony manages to balance Noise and Green-foliage.

4. Your first camera-company ~ Your last camera-company   

After buying your first camera you will get used with the menu-system &  function of that camera-company and that will stop you to buy cameras from other companies. (Ex- If you live in a city for 5 years and then you have to move on to another city , thats how it feels).  Its not only about the camera only , its about your feelings. Thats why it is tough to choose your first camera.

5. Purpose

First you have to know why are you buying your camera ? For Photography(Career) / Day-Day use / Occasional(Holidays or trips)/ Video ? If you are into Day-Day use , I will recommend Nikon ( Cameras are cheap so as lens & easy menu system) . For occasional-purpose - I will suggest Canon ( You can rent Lenses easily in many places at a low price & Colour Science ) For Photography&Video  - I will suggest SONY ( Sony is a very fast rising company in Mirror-less , for any thing sony is and will be best in every aspect *Slight color-grading will produce much better colour than Canon*, SONY is the future and its technology is far better than any other company ,new lenses are filling the market day by day. Its is highly recomended to go with SONY )

#AUTOFOCUS WILL BE BAD IN EVERY CHEAP-CAMERA(200d & a6000 is slightly better among them) But you probably dont need high-quality auto focus in those systems

What I did ?

I bought a d5300+50mm 1.8+70-300mm , although it is a good combo but regret for not buying a a6000 with dual kit lens. But I will upgrade my rig to a7m iii + Sony 70-200mm 2.8 + Sony 85mm 1.4 in 2020 and the nikon will be my refarence gear.

Conclusion : It matters only ~20%  for choosing the right company for your camera , at the end the photos will depend on your creativity. So, dont take too much stress for choosing that, I know its a lot of money to invest , but none of these company will disappoint you.
